TimeToBook looks wrong on my phone
Quick fixes when TimeToBook looks squashed, oversized, broken or out of date in your phone's web browser.
If TimeToBook looks squashed, too big, cut off or just odd in your phone's browser, it's usually a phone or browser setting rather than TimeToBook itself. Work through these fixes in order. Most people are sorted by the first two or three.
1. Open it in Safari or Chrome, not inside another app
Links you tap in Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, TikTok and some email apps often open in that app's own built-in browser. These cut-down browsers can show pages differently, and they don't keep you signed in like your normal browser does.
Look for a menu button (often ⋯ or ⋮) in the corner and choose Open in browser, Open in Safari or Open in Chrome.
The easiest fix for good: open Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) yourself, go to TimeToBook and sign in there. Then add it to your home screen so it always opens in the right place.
2. Check your zoom and text size
Large text or zoom settings can make pages overflow or overlap. Try setting them back to normal and see if it looks right.
On an iPhone:
- In Safari, tap aA in the address bar and check the page zoom is 100%.
- In the Settings app, check Display & Brightness. Text Size and Display Zoom both make pages bigger.
On Android:
- In the Settings app, look under Display for Font size and Display size (the names vary a little between phones). Try moving them back towards the default.
- In Chrome, tap ⋮, then Settings, then Accessibility, and check the text scaling or zoom is at 100%.
3. Turn off desktop mode
If everything looks tiny, like a computer screen shrunk onto your phone, your browser may be asking for the desktop version.
- Safari: tap aA and choose Request Mobile Website.
- Chrome: tap ⋮ and untick Desktop site.
4. Refresh, then clear the cache
Your browser may be holding on to an old copy of the page.
- Refresh the page. Pull down from the top, or tap the refresh button.
- Close the tab and open TimeToBook again in a new tab.
- Clear the browser's saved files if it still looks wrong:
- iPhone: in the Settings app, go to Safari and tap Clear History and Website Data. This signs you out, so you'll need to sign in again.
- Android (Chrome): tap ⋮, then Delete browsing data, and tick Cached images and files. Leave cookies unticked if you want to stay signed in.
5. Update your browser and phone
Older browsers can struggle with modern pages. Update Chrome from the Play Store, or update your iPhone in Settings → General → Software Update (Safari updates with it).
6. Try Chrome if your phone came with its own browser
Many Android phones come with the phone maker's own browser, such as Samsung Internet or the browsers on OPPO, Xiaomi and Realme phones. Some of these change how pages look, for example by forcing a dark mode that flips colours. If something looks wrong, try the same page in Chrome. If it looks fine there, use Chrome for TimeToBook.
7. Try the TimeToBook app
The free TimeToBook app avoids browser quirks entirely. It's great for the calendar, bookings and clients day to day:
- iPhone: TimeToBook on the App Store
- Android: TimeToBook on Google Play
Sign in with the same email you already use. Business settings are view-only in the app, so you'll still use a browser for those. See Using TimeToBook on your phone.
Still looks wrong? Tell us
We'd like to fix it. Email support@timetobook.com and include:
- A screenshot of what you're seeing
- Your phone model, for example "iPhone 13" or "Samsung Galaxy A54"
- Which browser you're using (Safari, Chrome, Samsung Internet, or an app like Instagram)
- Which page it was, such as the calendar, a settings page or your booking page
That's usually enough for us to reproduce it. If you'd rather not email, you can describe it on the Support page instead, though the form doesn't take screenshots.
